Consortium of Organizations Working for Child Participation (Consortium-Nepal) is a network organization established as a lose network in 1999. Since its establishment in 2000, it has been vigorously working to increase understanding level of stakeholders on the issue. It also has been carrying out activities to influence the key institutions for making a policy to establish a system of child participation as norm. The network has developed itself as a leading resource centre and is regularly carrying out studies, publishing different materials. Its sincere dedication and commitment towards the issue has made it a one of the biggest networks in Child Rights issues.
Consortium-Nepal invites qualified individuals to apply for the following position;
POST: Finance Officer -1
Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent is responsible to oversee the administration of the Consortium Office, including financial management, procurement and contract management, and personnel. Undertake management of member Organizations' and Service Agencies' procurement for the Consortium Office. Prepares and tracks budget information and advises management. Manages contracts for the Development Phase and Implementation Phase, and ensures through documentation of all contract and procurement processes related to program. Takes responsibility for overseeing procurement issues related to contracts, and provides logistical support to program. Oversees finance management of the Consortium Office, and manages the Administrative and Accounts staffs. Provides financial and management information on the status of all contracts. S/he will be responsible for immediate reporting to Program Coordinator.
Academic Qualification: Bachelor degree in Commerce or Management from a recognized University.
Additional Skills: Higher priority will be given to those who are familiar with FAMAS accounting software.
Work Experience: S/he must have at least 3 (three) years of Finance, administrative and procurement work experience relevant to the assignment for the post.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: The initial terms of employment will be 1 (one) years on contract basis (including probation period of first six months) with possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance. Other Terms and Conditions of employment will be as per the Consortium Rules. The candidate selected for appointment must submit a letter of approved resignation from the previous employer if H/She is employed at another organization.
DUTY STATION: This is Kathmandu Valley based position. Position holders will be required to undertake extensive traveling to districts outside Kathmandu Valley.
