Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO) Nepal is one of Nepal’s leading
organizations in psychosocial and mental health field. It was established in 2005 with the aim of promoting psychosocial well-being and mental health of people in conflict affected and other vulnerable communities through the development of sustainable, culturally-appropriate, and community-based psychosocial support systems.
To address the child protection issues in three districts (Dhanusa, Mahottari, Parsa) of Nepal, TPO Nepal is implementing a project called Psychosocial support to girls and boys vulnerable to child marriage and violent discipline.
In this regard, TPO Nepal is seeking one competent, committed and result oriented field candidates for the following positions.

Vacancy - TPO Nepal, Research Assistant - TPO Nepal, Project Coordinator - TPO Nepal

(1)Position:  M & E Officer
No. of Vacancy: 1 (one)
Location:  Center Base (Kathmandu, Frequently field visit on need base atleast 40% )
Duration: 10 months (Possible extension) 
Starting Date: At the Earliest
Major responsibilities:
The M & E Officer will be responsible for following duties but not limited to:
·         Develop M&E Framework of the project
·         Develop tools and format for the reporting and data collection.
·         Lead to conduct base line survey of the project
·         Support overall project activities at center level & district level.
·         Over all responsible for M & E activities
·         Responsible for preparing and compilation of program activities, weekly report, monthly report, and quarterly report
·         Prepare the baseline and end line survey report, project and M&E annual report
·         Compile project data
·         Ensure the quality of data related to M & E.
·         Co-ordination with district & center level stakeholder
·         Coordination with field staffs at district level.
·         Work closely with project coordinator as well as other project staffs
·         Follow the inputs and additional responsibilities (which are not mentioned in this JD)

Qualification, Skills and Experience:
·         Bachelors Degree in social science with at least two-year working experience in M&E Preferred.
·         Good knowledge of the Psychosocial intervention & M&E .
  •  Able to prepare all type of project required report.
(2)Position:  Psychosocial Trainer/Supervisor
No. of vacancy:  1
Location:  Kathmandu
Duration: 9 Months (Possibility of extension) 
Starting date: At the earliest
Major responsibilities:
The Psychosocial Trainer/Supervisor will be responsible for following duties but not limited to:
·         Develop different psychosocial training manual, intervention, guidelines, PPT and training related documents
·         Provide the psychosocial training to teacher and other stakeholder
·         Provide training to psychosocial Counselor about different psychosocial interventions and therapeutic interventions
·         Coordinate with counselors, project stakeholder
·         Identify psychosocial, emotional or behavioral issues of clients
·         Provide technical, clinical support to Psychosocial counselors and other project trainees
·         Conduct clinical consultation and diagnostic assessment
·         Provide psychosocial services and psychological therapeutic interventions to the clients having mental health and psychosocial problems, by using various evidence-based modalities
·         Develop and implement treatment plan and therapeutic process.
·         Monitor client progress through regular meeting or sessions.
·         Maintain working relationships/work closely with other staff of the organization.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly training/events/services reports

Qualification, Skills and Experience:
·         The candidate must have Bachelor degree of Psychology/Post Graduate of psychology with six month psychosocial counseling training preferably Master’s degree in counseling psychology/Clinical Psychology, M.Phil. In Clinical Psychology
·         At least two years experiences in psychosocial and mental health field as a trainer/supervisor
·         Able to work in multi-culture environment
·         Perform any other training related assignments as directed by the clinical manager and Project focal person
·         Able to prepare reports in computer.
·         Must have preferred in Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri and English, languages, both written and spoken.
(3)Position:  Psychosocial Counselor
No. of Vacancy: 4
Location:  Parsa (2), Dhanusa & Mahottari (2) 
Duration: 9.5 months (Possible to extent) 
Starting Date: At the Earliest
Major responsibilities:
The Psychosocial Counselor will be responsible for following duties but not limited to:
·         Undertake vulnerability assessments, provide individual, family and group counseling and refer client needing psychiatric care.
·         Conduct Psychosocial group intervention and provide focus psychosocial support to needy clients
·         Assist training to teacher and other stakeholder as a co-facilitator
·         Supervise and support CPSWs.
·         Conduct community based psychosocial orientation and sensitization program.
·         Conduct service mapping regarding services available in the community regarding psychosocial and mental health services.
·         Maintain case documentation.
·         Participate in weekly project coordination meetings and weekly peer supervision and support meetings.
·         Reports to Project Coordinator for direct supervision; and Clinical Supervisor for clinical supervision.
·         Follow the inputs and additional responsibilities provided by Project coordinator when it comes for strategic benefits to the project.


Qualification, Skills and Experience:
·         The candidate must have Bachelor degree of Psychology/Post Graduate Diploma in counselling psychology/ six month psychosocial counseling training preferably Master’s degree in counseling psychology/Clinical Psychology,
·         At least six months experiences as a psychosocial counselor
·         Able to work in multi-culture environment
·         Perform any other training related assignments as directed by the Clinical Supervisor and Project focal person
·         Able to prepare reports in computer.
·         Must have fluency in Nepali, Maithili and Bhojpuri languages, both written and spoken and preferably English as well
