Project Coordinator in ICCO

ICCO Cooperation, is a global non-government organization, established in the Netherlands in 1965, and works through 5 regional and 26 country offices in Asia, Africa and Latin Americo. ICCO Cooperation co-implements programs together with multiple stakeholders and networks that are dedicated to improve food security and sustainable consumption, stimulate economic empowerment, promote responsible businesses and ensure inclusion.
ICCO Cooperation South and Central Asia-Nepal office invites application from interested and eligible candidates for the following two positions for the EU funded project, "HAMRO COFFEE; Expanding Opportunities for Nepalese Coffee Producers and Traders"
1) Project Coordinator, based in field office in Kaski
The core responsibility of the Project Coordinator is to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project activities, quality and timely reporting on the progress, and to ensure that the planned milestones, outcomes and impact are achieved. S/he will be working closely with the project partners and networks/coalitions, other stakeholders in accordance with ICCO Cooperation and EU policies and guidelines.
Profile of the candidate
Education
  • At least a Master's in Agriculture (MSc) (Agronomy/plant science, agriculture)
Experience/Knowledge
  • Substantial professional experience, of which at least 3 years has been spent handling a portfolio of plant diseases and extension services
  • Substantial experience on value chain development of exportable commodities will be an added value
  • Substantial professional experience and familiarity with national and/or regional development issues Substantial experience on working in a multi-stakeholder environments, and with the private and public sectors
  • Previous experience on implementation, reporting of European Commission funded project will an added value
  • Good knowledge of development issues, change processes
  • Knowledge on Government rules, regulations and trade policies
