Place of assignment: Gorkha, Nepal
Reporting to: Finance Officer
People in Need (PIN) is an international non – governmental organization with headquarters in Prague, the Czech Republic. In its 20 years of history, PIN was working in over 40 countries in relief, development and human rights and democracy support projects. After the earthquake in Nepal in April 2015, PIN joined the emergency response to support the most affected communities in Nepal.
Cashier is in charge of petty cash management to PIN office in Gorkha. He/she is also responsible for implementation and follow-up of PIN financial and administration procedures.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibility for the field cash box in Gorkha and entering cash vouchers into the Excel register
Responsibility for correctness and sufficiency of the respective accounting documentation (receipts, PIN forms) which is going to be paid/reimbursed
Following mission financial security rules and other internal guidelines (e.g. approving processes)
Preparing regular cash counts (cash reconciliation)
Clearing advances of the PIN staff
Translation of documents from/to English if needed
Responsibility for cash planning and holding sufficient balance for smooth project implementation.
YOUR PROFILE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in administration or finance
Outstanding communication skills
Fluency in spoken and written English
Outstanding knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
Good organisational skills and ability to work in stress situations
