Detailed Job Description / Requirements:
Chemonics seeks a
Procurement Specialist for the anticipated USAID Nepal Public Financial
Management Strengthening Project. This five-year program is expected to
enhance the capacity of targeted government of Nepal (GON) ministries
and agencies to improve transparency and accountability of public
financial management systems. We are looking for individuals who have a
passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
· Leading
in providing tailor-made extensive technical assistance to the selected
ministries in the area of procurement and other aspects of PFM.
Qualifications:
1. Candidates must have a master’s degree in a relevant subject with at least five years practical experience on
procurement fiduciary activities and the expertise to identify and
deploy knowledge to solve specific problems and/or to enhance
procurement functions.
2. Candidates must have a
deep understanding of government procurement functions in different
sectors with a considerable knowledge of budget execution issues.
3. Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
4. Excellent communication (written and oral) skills in English and Nepali languages.
