Purpose of the Post:
Under the supervision of the Regional Adviser for Evaluation, the position is responsible for supporting the evaluation function across the region, including ROSA and Country Offices, with a particular focus on strengthening centralized quality support and oversight functions


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and maintaining centralized oversight and quality assurance mechanisms enabling regular review and coordination of all evaluations across the region, including multi-year and annual IMEPs at the country and regional level, as well as efforts to meet commitments  enshrined in the regional evaluation strategy. Supporting in developing topical guidance documents and facilitating the establishment and operation of a support desk on evaluation standards, methods and processes. Supporting the coordination of regional evaluations, including the development of terms of reference and quality review of evaluation outputs. Developing and maintaining the ROSA evaluation website. Supporting the centralized tracking of the development of national evaluation systems across the region.


Profile for the post:
  • University degree in social sciences, development planning, planning, evaluation, survey implementation, advanced statistical research.
  • Two years progressively responsible professional work experience at the national level in social development, result-based management, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Functional Competencies: Planning and Organizing, Applying Technical Expertise, Formulating Strategies and Concepts, and Analyzing.
