CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian

CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following full time position for an Integrated Education, Health and Nutrition project ‘Awasar’ targeted at hard to reach children especially in the upper belt of mountain districts (Bajura and Mugu) to improve their nutritional and educational status. This is a 3 year project designed to address the basic education and nutritional requirement among the school going age children and their families living in harsh climatic conditions of upper part of the project districts. The project also intends to equip the local organisations with the skills to manage their own groups/organisations, resource identification and mobilisation for sustainable education models, model behaviour for hygiene & sanitation, and food habits and consumption practices in the communities.

Job Description
Key responsibilities:- The Communications Specialist is responsible for the overall communications and advocacy initiatives of the project and will be responsible to provide input for the information campaign in Denmark during 2015 and provide ongoing updates for CARE Denmark and act as the communication link between CARE Denmark and the project areas. S/he will support project communication efforts in Nepal to be used as part of the project advocacy and scaling up strategy. The incumbent will report to Project Coordinator designated for the project at CARE country office.
