various development initiatives addressing the poverty and injustice
faced by women and other socially and economically excluded groups. The

1) Programme Coordinator– One Position
Fixed term contract based in Kathmandu
Key Responsibilities:: S/he
will be working in line with Oxfam’s strategic plans and policy
guidelines under the direct supervision of SLFS Programme Manager in
coordination with partner organizations, programme team; and maintain a
working relationship with programme, advocacy and campaign, human
resource, finance and administration teams. S/he will be working closely
with Oxfam Hongkong’s South Asia programme team for strategic issues,
programme direction and budget.
Requirements: At least Bachelors degree (Preferably Masters degree)
in Social science/ Development studies/ Agriculture/ Rural Development
and/or other relevant degree with at least 5 years of substantial
experience in managing development programme, preferably in food
security and livelihood. Good knowledge on development context of Nepal,
its socio economics phenomenon and its effect on poor and marginal
people’s lives. Expertise in initiating new programme and partnerships
with local NGOs in the country.
Good
report writing, documentation and monitoring and evaluation skills.
Strong commitment to development work, poverty alleviation and human
suffering from humanitarian crises. Knowledge and experience on gender
and gender mainstreaming issues in development. Physical fitness and
willingness to travel for field work.You should be willing to travel to and stay in the affected area during humanitarian crisis.
