Description: The Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Party and in close coordination with the Education Specialist.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities for this position will include:
  • Lead the design and implementation of performance and impact evaluation methodologies and
  • participatory data collection methods using the Early Grade Reading assessment tools.
  • Build the capacity of education partners to conduct learning outcomes assessment and maintain the M&E system.
  • Coordinate data collection, documentation, on-going monitoring and submission of progress reports.
  • Continuously revisit the monitoring and evaluation, documentation and reporting structures to
  • ensure that staff and partner organizations understand and follow-up on deliverable.
  • Oversee both external and internal evaluation processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors in Education or related field.
  • Minimum of five years experience, Early Grade Reading preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and management of performance and impact evaluations, development of M&E frameworks, performance management plans and participatory data collection methods.
  • Proved M&E experience on USAID funded projects.
  • Strong computer, assessment, and data collection skills.
  • Ability to frequently travel to remote areas.
