Monitoring & Documentation Coordinator (1 position)
Role Purpose
The Monitoring & Documentation Coordinator will be responsible to provide support for field level monitoring and documentation of process and project learning. S/he needs to guide to enter and analyze the rapid assessment information/HMIS data to find out the gap of MNCH service status of health facilities and community in the project implemented districts. S/he will carry out to make the regular field visits to support the staffs based in the region and review project implementation.
Term and Location: Fixed term position till July 2015 based in Kathmandu
Required Qualification: At least Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Economics, Demography or related field with 5 years of professional experience in I/NGOs or donor agencies related to Management Information System (MIS) and Social Research along with good knowledge and experience of government system

Key Areas of Accountability
- Collect, compile and analyze program information/ data and provide feedback to statistical officers and SNL project staff at the district level as and when required to obtain usable data for compiling and analysis.
- Regular documentation of the activities in coordination with district and central based SNL III staff.
- Assist to prepare the presentation as necessary based on the evidences.
- Coordinate with the Project staff, D/PHO statistical officer and Store keeper of the project implementation district to receive the MNCH related HMIS/LMIS information.
- Capacity building of district team in monitoring and supportive supervision as necessary.
- Provide regular written and verbal feedback and suggestions to the district based staff (MNCH District Coordinator or Officer) based on the monitoring information.
- Assist in preparation of District, HF and community level assessment and monitoring tools.
- Work closely work under the guidance of Senior M&E Specialists and program managers on MNCH indicators, developing/reviewing results framework, M&E plans, data collection tools etc.
- Maintain close coordination with HMIS focal person to strengthen monitoring system in implementing newborn health program.
- Design database for newborn health based on revised tools with coordination of HMIS, DoHS.
- Prepare technical supportive monitoring and supervision movement action plan jointly with concern division and stakeholders (eg.CHD, FHD, HMIS and other stakeholders) for quality monitoring observation.
- Contribute in evidence-based decision makings on newborn health.
- Provide inputs in studies/assessments related to newborn health. Contribute in preparation of periodic reports
- Ability to mentor and provide onsite coaching to D/PHO staff, health workers and FCHV’s in government facilities
- Coordination and interpersonal skills with local NGOs and stakeholders specially government
- Ability to effectively present information (orally and for publication) to government officials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other database related standard software(s)
- Nepali and English oral and written communication skills
- Organizational, interpersonal /cross-culture communication and time management skills to work effectively in the district and communities
