Summary: The Senior Regional Program Manager will have primary responsibility for guiding and supervising the thematic program specialists, working with implementing partners (IPs) and providing technical coordination of project implementation within the three target Districts in the Mid-West and Far-West Regions of Nepal. The SRPM will also identify and implement IPs’ capacity building programs and provide technical assistance to IPs and other local stakeholders including local government units to improve the service delivery processes and benefitting people, especially the youth, women and marginalized groups.
The Senior Regional Program Manager reports to the Deputy Chief of Party.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitates and monitors the attainment of programmatic goal and objectives,
• Provides support and guidance to line managers and the implementing partners to evaluate, plan and implement local projects
• Works with local government units and the communities to identify priority areas and quick-win strategies;
Minimum Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working/managing grants to NGOs, and facilitation of participatory community program design and implementation.
• Program experience in implementing USAID governance program or similar programs with other international donors.
• Strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines on short notice, and act as a team player.
• Experience in program management in difficult settings
• Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
• English and Nepali fluency required, both in written and verbal . Knowledge of local languages in the region will add value.
• Open to Nepalese nationals only.
