Senior Coordinator Education

The Senior Coordinator - Education will be responsible for the overall management of Education project in close coordination with the project team and concerning government line agencies. S/he will provide overall strategic and managerial leadership in Education projects to deliver tangible benefits to the children and targeted communities. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring quality delivery of education projects by best utilizing the available resources to attain the Education goal of Save the Children adhering to its Country Strategy Plan (CSP) and Global Initiatives. S/he will develop the capacity of project staff and partners as well as represent Save the Children at district, regional and national level. 

Term and Location: Fixed term till December 2016 based in Kathmandu with frequent (50% of total time) visit to the project areas

Required Qualification: At least Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Education or Social Science or any other relevant degree with minimum 5 years (for Bachelors) or 3 years (for Masters) of experience in managing Education project/program

Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have sound knowledge and experience in project planning and implementation including financial/budget management skills, periodic review and monitoring of project activities. S/he should be able to produce quality reports, case studies and other relevant documents for documentation purpose. The position holder should have good understanding of partnership management and compliance as well as should be able to develop the capacity of project staff and partners. S/he should have very good collaboration, coordination, networking and representation skills to work in partnership at the field level. Advanced level of proficiency in English (especially in writing) & Nepali language and proficiency in MS office package is a must.

Project Officer - Education (Literacy Boost)
The Project Officer is responsible to support the Project Coordinator to manage Save the Children Korea funded projects in Basic Education (Literacy Boost) in close coordination with the project team and concerning government line agencies. S/he will ensure quality delivery of the project at implementation sites by best utilizing the available resources to attain the project goals, adhering to Save the Children’s CSP and its Global Initiatives. S/he will develop the capacity of project staff and partners as well as represent Save the Children at district, regional and national level. 
Term and Location: Fixed term position till December 2015 based in Baglung with frequent field visits
Required Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Education or any other relevant social science with minimum 3 years of experience in similar field
Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have sound knowledge and experience in project planning, budgeting and implementation including periodic review and monitoring of project activities. S/he should be able to write periodic reports, case studies and learning for documentation purpose. The position holder should have strong skills in community mobilization and partnership management/compliance. S/he should be able to develop the capacity of project staff and partners. S/he should have good coordination, collaboration and networking skills to work effectively with concerning government line agencies and other stakeholders. Good command over English and Nepali language and proficiency in MS office package is a must.

Project Officer - Child Sensitive Social Protection (CSSP)

The Project Officer - Child Sensitive Social Protection (CSSP) will be responsible to manage CSSP project activities under close supervision of Project Coordinator - CSSP/CPEC in district. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring quality delivery of the project activities by best utilizing the available resources to attain the project goals adhering to Save the Children's CSP and its Global Initiatives. S/he is responsible to develop capacity of the partners through various approaches as well as representing the organization at district level.
Term and Location: Fixed term till December 2016 based in Sindhupalchowk with frequent field visits
Required Qualification: At least Bachelor's degree in Social Science or relevant degree with minimum 2 years of experience in related field
Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have sound knowledge and experience in project planning, budgeting and implementation including periodic review and monitoring of project activities. S/he should be able to produce quality reports, case studies and other relevant documents for documentation purpose. The position holder should be well familiar with partnership management and compliance as well as should be able to contribute in the capacity development of partners and stakeholders. S/he should have very good coordination, collaboration and networking skills to work in partnership at the community level. Project Officer - Creating Protective Environment for Children (CPEC)

The Project Officer - Creating Protective Environment for Children (CPEC) will be responsible for overall management of CPEC project activities under close supervision of Project Coordinator - CSSP & CPEC in districts. The incumbent will support the Project Coordinator to ensure quality delivery of the project activities by best utilizing the available resources to attain the project goals including capacity development of the partners.
Term and Location: Fixed term till December 2016 based in Kavrepalanchowk with frequent field visits
Required Qualification: At least Bachelor's degree in Social Science or Law or relevant degree with minimum 2 years of experience in related field
Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have sound knowledge and experience in project planning, budgeting and implementation including periodic review and monitoring of project activities. S/he should be able to produce quality reports, case studies and other relevant documents for documentation purpose. Project Officer - Education (School Sector Reform Program)

The Project Officer will be responsible for providing managerial support to the project manager and other project team members in Kathmandu and other regional offices for the Basic Education Improvement in Support of the School Sector Reform Program (SSRP), which is funded by the Japanese government which includes the procurement, quality ensuring, and delivery of learning materials to be provided for project schools, and development of project materials. S/he is also responsible for ensuring quality delivery of the project in timely at implementing sites by drawing on available resources to attain education goals of Save the Children adhering to its CSP. 
Term and Location: Fixed term position till January 2015 based in Kathmandu with some field visits
Required Qualification: At least Bachelor's degree in Education or any other relevant social science with minimum 3 years of experience in similar field

Program Officer - Maternal Newborn Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN)

The Program Officer - Maternal Newborn Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) will be responsible for overall planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of MNCH project activities in Kalikot district of mid-western region. S/he will provide technical assistance to DPHO, HFs to implement and monitor the MNCH activities as well as establish and strengthen good coordination with government counterparts like DPHO, DDC and supporting agencies in the district. S/he will ensure functional reporting and logistics supply system of DPHO and HFs for quality and timely service delivery of MNCHN program. Further, s/he will provide technical, programmatic and managerial support to partner NGOs for effective implementation of the project.
Term and Location: Fixed term position till June 2016 based in Kalikot with frequent field visits
Required Qualification: At least Bachelor's degree in Public Health with minimum 2 years of experience in MNCHN related project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting 
Required Knowledge and Skills: S/he should have sound knowledge and experience in project planning including Detail Implementation Plan (DIP), budgeting, implementation and monitoring of the project interventions at sub-national levels. S/he should be able to provide technical support and establish good coordination with relevant stakeholders involved in MNCHN related program. The incumbent should be able to write periodic reports, case studies and learning for documentation of the project interventions. S/he must be able to develop technical capacity of stakeholders. S/he should have excellent coordination, collaboration and networking skills to work in partnership at the community level. Good command over English and Nepali language and proficiency in MS office package is a must.
