Project Manager
Project Manager - One Position
Fixed Term Position from joining date to August 2014- Based in Kathmandu
Key Responsibilities:
To facilitate effective functioning of DIpECHO-VII (Emergency Health Preparedness in Kathmandu Valley) through appropriate planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation; budget management, liaise with other NG0s, relevant government agencies and the ECHO country office to ensure coordination and learning across DipECHO partners, conduct internal impact evaluations of the project and organize with other DipECHO partners an end of programme external evaluation, responsible for the representation of Oxfam to partner organizations, donors, government, line ministries and other NGOs in relation to the project
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) or WASH with minimum three years experience in DRR and WASH sectors; proven experience in project and partner management, coordination with Government and non government agencies. Experience on managing disaster preparedness projects and ECHO/DipECHO funded projects; experience in community based disaster risk management (CBORM) project implementation, knowledge and experience on gender equality and social inclusion: learning attitude; excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Nepali), leadership skills; people management skill, experience in monitoring and evaluation, and willingness to frequently visit project field locations.
