Program Coordinator - Education

Location: Saptari and Doti
Term: Fixed term position - i) till March 2014 (for Saptari) and ii) till December 2013 (for Doti), with possibility of extension
Educational Qualification:
  • At least Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree preferred)
Job Specifications:
  • Atleast 5 years of work experience in the field of education program implementation and management.
  • S/he should have sound experience in education sector and program management.
  • The position holder should have the ability to skillfully write good reports, document key learning, facilitate, build capacity of partners, proficient to coordinate with stakeholders.
  • S/he should have good interpersonal skill, expertise in MS Office Package and sound verbal and written communication skill both in Nepali and English language.
  • Knowledge of local languages, ability to work under pressure/stress and adjust to difficult living and working condition, will be added benefit for the position.
  • S/he should be reliable, accountable, result oriented, should have highest level of integrity and good team player who values diversity.
Job Description:
The Program Coordinator – Education is overall responsible for overall management of and providing technical assistance on education (Early childhood development and basic education) project to partners, ensuring timely delivery of program at implementing sites by maximizing the impact as per the country strategy and best utilizing the available resources. The responsibilities also include capacity development of partners, program and budget planning and tracking, review of progress, plans/proposal and budget submitted by partner organisation, coordinate, collaborate and represent to enhance functional relationship with district line agencies and networks for amplifying results in education, maintaining compliances as per donor requirement and produce high quality report.

Data Management Officer

Term: One year (with possibility for extension)
Educational Qualification:
  • At least Bachelors degree
Job Specifications:
  • Atleast 3 year of work experience in the field of network based data management.
  • S/he should have good expertise in data management using MS Access, advanced MS Excel, knowledge troubleshooting and network environment.
  • S/he should be detail orientated and accurate, be able to work under demanding work deadlines and possess good interpersonal skills as well as have a good command of the English and Nepali language.
Job Description:
The position holder will be responsible for managing the sponsorship database (ASISt) and all database processes including the input of data to enhance the sponsorship recording, monitoring and reporting system to a high quality standard with accuracy and timeliness. This also includes, coordinating with Westport ASISt team to maintain the data integration between country office and home office; produce reports and charts to monitor and report on functions of the entire sponsorship management system to a high quality standard with accuracy and timeliness

Project Assistant

Location: Kathmandu

Educational Qualification:
  • At least Intermediate degree (Bachelors preferred) having diploma and/or training in secretarial work.
Job Specifications:
  • Atleast 3 years of work experience in the related field.
  • S/he should have the knowledge of administrative skill, secretarial skill, documentation skill, logistics management skill, expertise in MS Office Package.
  • Additionally, s/he should also have good interpersonal skill, sound verbal and written communication skill both in Nepali and English language, and should be detail orientated, accurate and able to work with demanding work deadlines.
