Founded in 2000, Room to Read is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to provide quality educational opportunities. We partner with local communities in the developing world to establish libraries, improve literacy skills of children, create local language children's literature/books, construct schools, and provide scholarships to deprived girls.Room to Read, Nepal implements the following two programs:
1. Literacy program: It aims at bringing impact such that primary school children become independent readers.
2. Girls Education Program: It aims at bringing impact such that at achieving girls complete secondary school and have the skills necessary to negotiate key life decisions.
